About Kathryn
I have extensive teaching experience with both young learners and adults. What I have experienced in my years of teaching is that learning must be fun. I truly believe anyone can be creative and anyone can be a good writer, but only if you believe that about yourself. This is why I dedicate my lessons to focusing on the student as an individual and using your interests to spark creativity that will inspire you to want to write. Once you enjoy writing, learning the techniques to improve the quality of your writing isn't just easy, but enjoyable as well. Together we will improve your creative writing skills and understanding of the craft of writing with fun lessons and conversation.

I believe in personal lesson plans geared toward each student's individual strengths, weaknesses, and needs. Bringing my experience working with students from 12-60 years old as both an ESL and and English writing professor at high schools, universities, and language schools; I am dedicated to seeing each student improve their understanding of English writing culture.
My lessons are conversational based and allow us to exchange ideas. During the first half of the lesson I will discuss a specific topic within the topic of creative writing and then we will discuss together how to tackle that topic. Usually, I will provide homework that includes written work that we will use to discuss topics and improve your creative writing skills.
This class is for native English students looking to improve their creative writing schools for themselves or for college/grad school applications as well as for ESL students of a C1 level or higher looking to improve their English through creative writing and pop culture.
