About Igor
Igor Petricevic is a Croatian born classical guitarist and operatic tenor. He graduated in Classical Guitar Performance from the Anton Bruckner Music University (Linz, Austria), in Voice and Opera from the Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester, UK) and holds a PGCE in Secondary Music with a Qualified Teachers Status from the Manchester Metropolitan University. Igor has taught guitar and singing in several music schools around Europe, UK and USA.
Igor has been teaching since 2011 to students of all ages and abilities, ranging from 5 years old to 80 years old, beginners to advanced. He teaches both, one-to-one students and group lessons of various sizes. Igor firmly believes in the importance of music lessons being enjoyable and rewarding, so he encourages the students to learn to play the pieces and music they love. Apart from teaching his students how to play or sing, Igor always incorporates teaching of music theory, how to read music, and how to play the guitar or sing with a proper technique. He regularly enters his students for ABRSM, Trinity College London and School of Rock graded exams with 100% success rate, a large majority passing with distinction or merit.
As a performer, Igor has had opportunities to be involved in some incredible performances including National Concert Hall in Dublin, Royal Festival Hall in London, Opera North in Leeds, Bergen Opera, National Opera House in Oslo, Opera House in Linz and CD recordings for the world’s leading classical music label, Naxos.
