About Taraya
I am a flute tutor with 8 years of experience, having successfully taught over 150 students across all levels. My teaching philosophy emphasises developing both technical skills and creative expression. I guide students in mastering breath control, tone, finger agility, and rhythm while encouraging improvisation and musical interpretation.
Lessons are customised to each student’s objectives and learning style, ensuring steady progress and motivation. I also integrate sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble practice, giving students a holistic musical education. My mission is to inspire students to play confidently, skilfully, and passionately.

I teach flute using a methodology that emphasises adaptability, collaboration, and encouragement. Every student has a unique way of learning, so I tailor lessons to their learning style, pace, and musical goals. This ensures lessons are motivating, effective, and enjoyable.
Flexibility allows me to modify exercises, repertoire, and lesson plans according to the student’s progress and interests. Collaboration is a key component of my teaching; students participate in duets, ensemble practice, and group exercises to develop confidence, timing, and expressive ability. Positivity guides every session, creating a nurturing environment where students feel inspired to experiment, explore creativity, and celebrate achievements.
In addition to flute lessons, I provide instruction in music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive approach develops technical mastery, musical understanding, and artistic expression, helping students become confident, skilled, and passionate musicians.
