About Rachel
I am a professional German to English translator with an undergraduate degree from the University of St Andrews and a masters' degree in translation from the University of Edinburgh. During my undergraduate degree, I achieved a distinction in spoken German and I lived in Germany for 9 months, working as a teaching assistant in English classes in a German school. I also worked in a call centre providing technical support to German-speaking customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for almost two years.

As a student of speech and language therapy, I know that no two people learn in the same way or at the same speed. I also know that language acquisition is a complex procedure which takes time, practice and patience.
As there is no one way of learning, I cannot say how I would tailor my sessions to a specific student without first getting to know them and what works for them.
