About David
Hi, I’m Dave, a professional guitarist, music educator, and composer with a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Music from the University of Huddersfield. I’ve spent years performing live, touring, and working as a session guitarist—experiences that have shaped me into a versatile, adaptable player. Alongside performing, I also compose music for television, giving me a deep understanding of how music works in both creative and commercial settings. My teaching approach is friendly, supportive, and completely tailored to each student. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or an experienced player looking to sharpen your skills, I’ll help you build confidence, improve your technique, and develop your own unique sound. I teach a wide range of styles including rock, pop, blues, funk, and acoustic fingerstyle, and I’m happy to incorporate music theory, songwriting, or improvisation into your lessons if you’re interested. Lessons are available both in person and online, so you can learn in the way that suits you best. Above all, I’m passionate about helping students enjoy music, stay motivated, and reach their full potential on the guitar.
