About Willa
I am a Guitar tutor with more than 9 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 650 students. Throughout my career, I have worked with complete beginners, intermediate players, advanced musicians, and aspiring performers.
My teaching philosophy is based on balancing technical excellence with creativity and enjoyment. Learning guitar should be exciting and rewarding, while also providing students with the discipline and structure needed for continuous improvement.
Many students have progressed from learning basic chords to performing confidently on stage, composing their own music, and preparing successfully for examinations and auditions. Their growth demonstrates the value of consistent practice combined with personalized instruction.
I enjoy helping learners discover their musical strengths while developing confidence and independence as musicians. Watching students achieve goals that once seemed impossible is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching.
My objective is to help students build lifelong musical skills while enjoying every stage of the learning process.

My Guitar lessons are designed to help students build strong technical skills while developing creativity, confidence, and musical understanding. I teach Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Fingerstyle Guitar, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Music Theory, Ear Training, Improvisation, and Performance Skills through a structured and practical learning approach.
Students begin by developing essential foundations including posture, rhythm accuracy, timing, finger coordination, chord transitions, and strumming techniques. As they progress, lessons introduce more advanced topics such as improvisation, solo construction, advanced chord voicings, fingerstyle arrangements, and performance interpretation.
Every lesson combines technical development with practical music application. Students work on songs, exercises, musical challenges, and performance activities that reinforce learning while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable. I encourage learners to develop their own musical style and creative expression while strengthening technical competence.
Practice plans are personalized according to each student's goals and learning pace. Whether preparing for performances, examinations, auditions, or personal enjoyment, students receive structured guidance designed to maximize progress and confidence.
I focus on creating a positive learning environment where students feel motivated, challenged, and supported throughout their musical journey.
