About Drew
Hello! I am an experienced guitar and ukulele player and I love rock, pop, jazz, and world music. I have written many songs (two of which are on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube under my band’s name - Lost Voyage), perform live, and taught students of all ages. As a teacher I tailor lessons to your needs, taking your interests into consideration and creating lessons that help you explore them. I have played in many bands, usually as the lead singer/guitarist. I studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I taught band at a private school in Virginia for 10 years and have taught private lessons at Guitar Center and out of my home for the past 20 years. I have experience playing live as well as recording in the studio.

Whether you are a beginner or already have experience with your instrument, I will help you get to the next level. Classes are informal and fun! Learn by studying the songs and styles you love. I sing as well as play guitar and ukulele, so students can play along with me as we explore songs and delve into the theory, history, and songwriting tricks that make them so catchy! If you don’t know exactly what you want to study on your instrument, I will help you explore the possibilities. All ages welcome.
