About Douglas
Hi! I'm Douglas Geronimo, Harmonica Teacher Graduated in Music by FIAM FAAM in São Paulo - SP. I teach harmonica and since 2005 working in schools, institutes and privately. My teaching approaches the playful development in music. In other words, we learn by playing and singing a lot of music! The technique does not teach anyone anything. It just improves. So all technical education will always be focused on your reality and your interests!

In the course you will have access to: - Teaching material in PDF; - Audios and Videos related to the object of study; - Private group on WhatsApp (student and teacher only) where every class report, teaching content, videos and other materials are posted so you can follow up on your studies; - Personalised approach according to your moment, your needs and musical taste; In harmonica lessons we will cover: - Rhythms: From Blues to Jazz, from Rock to Pop, from Reggae to Samba! All the rhythms that can be played on the harmonica giving that accompaniment effect for you to play along with someone else or a crowd without needing technical mastery in the wind! - Techniques: Embouchure training, breath control, articulation of notes to get a clean, beautiful and healthy sound (yes, the harmonica is a delicate instrument so we have to blow carefully so as not to damage it!); - Melody: Learn the melody of different songs to have fun and impress! - Improvisation: Take the harmonica and create melodies and rhythms with autonomy and creative freedom! Exercises will not be lacking! - Maintenance of the harmonica: The maintenance of the harmonica can sometimes be very simple and, in class, I can help in the process as well as recommend specialised professionals for this;

I have had two lessons with Douglas so far…..
Douglas first taught me about the four different styles of Harmonicas used in differing genres of music which I wasn’t aware of beforehand!
Douglas is a very professional tutor, and he communicates his lessons very well using examples and diagrams that teach scales, notes, ranges, tones, rifts, and technique.
I feel very comfortable with Douglas during the lessons, and I feel confident I will learn to play the harmonica with his teaching style! He is an experienced communicator, musician, and teacher, and I am looking forward to learning to play the harmonica with him!
