About Eibhlín
I am a professional mezzo-soprano working in opera, choral, consort, early music and folk singing. I have a first class degree from the Royal Northern College of Music, and enjoy exploring repertoire from different musical traditions and languages. I am a current scholar with Voces8, as well as being a member of Genesis Sixteen, St Martin's Voices Emerging Artists, and Vox Urbane Next Generation Artists. I am also a founding member of Ventis Vocal Ensemble, a professional upper voice ensemble specialising in folk music from around the world.
I have experience teaching adults, teenagers and children one-to-one, as well as leading singing and choral workshops in both primary and secondary schools, as well as with amateur choral societies.
I teach classical singing technique, but my aim is to give every singer a strong, healthy technical foundation that they can apply to whatever music they love. Alongside my classical and opera training, I have a strong background in folk and consort singing and enjoy exploring repertoire from different musical traditions and languages.
