About OMAR
I began my professional career at the age of 15, when I signed an international endorsement with Yamaha and appeared regularly in the press, landing the cover of a famous music magazine in France. At 18, I secured a publishing deal with Universal Music France, with whom I collaborated as a composer for ambitious projects there, such as Popstars (TV Show), Rai'n'B Fever, Diam's, Amine, Kelly Rowland... I also toured the world with major artists such as Keziah Jones, Matthieu Chedid, Cheb Khaled, Damon Albarn and Fatoumata Diawara, just to name a few. In 2012, I caught the attention of Superproducer RedOne ( Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson... ), signed a publishing/artist deal with his record label 2101 records and moved to England to collaborate on albums with Jennifer Lopez, X Factor winner Shayne Ward, Bluey Robinson... In 2019, I was part of the Netflix show ‘ The Eddy ‘ directed by Damien Chazelle ( La La Land, Whiplash ) as a songwriter and also appeared as an actor in several episodes.

My name is Omar and I've been a professional drummer since 2000. I hold several conservatory degrees in drums, piano, classical composition and jazz, including a ' Premier prix à l'unanimité ' from the music school ' Dante Agostini ' and a ' Médaille d'or ' from the conservatoire of Paris. I've played and toured in more than 40 countries with Damon Albarn, Keziah Jones, Cheb Khaled, Shayne Ward, Nguyen Le, Fatoumata Diawara ... I've taught in many master classes in Japan, France, Belgium, Mexico... I'm offering drum lessons in my private music studio in Chiswick ( 1 min walk from Gunnersbury Station ). I do also play piano, bass / guitar so I can play along with you during the lessons. I'm passionate about music and I share this passion with my students through my enthusiasm! Music is fun and I believe it always should be... and it's the best way to make progress. My lessons are tailored around your aspirations. I don't follow one particular method, but I always make sure I give you the best tools in order to express your musicality, creativity and ultimately enjoy playing music! I can teach in many styles, rock, soul, jazz pop... but also African and Arabic. All levels, all ages 30 min (£30), 60 min (£48) I teach in my own studio in Chiswick. ( I have a DBS ).

Omar is an excellent drummer and an amazing teacher. I got classes with him and my play improved a lot.
