About Miri
With 15 years of piano teaching experience and nearly 300 students trained, I provide lessons that are structured, goal-oriented, and motivating. I work with high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them strengthen technical skills and performance confidence.
My teaching philosophy emphasises discipline, clarity, and steady progress. I focus on posture, finger independence, scales, chord transitions, rhythm accuracy, and sight-reading. I also encourage students to express themselves through music, fostering creativity and emotional connection to their pieces.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals and pace, providing regular feedback and setting achievable targets. Many of my students have excelled in graded examinations and performed successfully in recitals, concerts, and school programmes.
I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel inspired, motivated, and confident in their piano journey.

My piano teaching methodology is built on communication, creativity, flexibility, and steady personal development. I believe that every student can succeed when lessons are clear, supportive, and well-structured. I begin by building strong fundamentals such as posture, relaxed technique, finger independence, rhythm control, and accurate note reading.
I explain each topic in simple English so students understand both the technical and musical sides of playing. Communication is very important in my lessons. I encourage students to speak openly about their goals and challenges, and I provide constructive feedback to guide improvement. Creativity keeps lessons engaging.
I include improvisation, expressive phrasing, and simple composition activities to develop imagination and confidence. Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson plans according to each student’s age, level, and purpose. I also teach music theory, harmony, ear training, and sight reading to support complete musicianship. My goal is to help students become confident and expressive pianists.
