About Sophia
I have been playing the piano for over 12 years and graduated from a Music Academy in Europe, where I completed an intensive music education program. Alongside piano performance, I took accelerated music theory classes, which allow me to clearly explain both practical and theoretical aspects of music.
I have experience performing in orchestras, as well as playing for benefit events and church masses. These experiences have helped me develop strong musical discipline, collaboration skills, and confidence in performance settings.
I enjoy working with students of all ages and skill levels. I communicate especially well with children by making lessons engaging, structured, and encouraging, while also helping adults learn at a comfortable and motivating pace. My goal is to adapt each lesson to the student’s needs, whether they are beginners or looking to improve technique and music understanding.
In addition to music, I also train both adults and children in tennis. This background has strengthened my teaching skills, patience, and ability to motivate students in a positive and supportive way.

My lessons are designed for students who want to start playing the piano or improve their existing skills. I focus on building a strong foundation in both piano technique and music theory, while keeping lessons enjoyable and easy to understand.
If your child has difficulties with music theory homework, I can work through the material together with them step by step. I explain concepts in a simple, clear way and adapt my teaching to the student’s learning style. Lessons are interactive and engaging, helping students feel confident rather than overwhelmed.
For beginners, we focus on proper hand position, reading music, rhythm, and developing a love for music. For more advanced students, lessons include technique improvement, musical expression, and deeper theory understanding.
My goal is to create a fun, supportive learning environment for both children and adults, where students feel motivated, comfortable asking questions, and excited to make progress.

Perfect! Sophia is a fantastic piano teacher! She's currently teaching my 7-year-old the piano. Sophia has demonstrated the ability to balance teaching the very basics while tactfully pushing to move forward and progress. I would recommend Sophia to anyone, especially kids. Sophia is flexible and easy to work with, and my child enjoys learning from her. We will be continuing lessons for as long as possible!
