About Joni
Hello! I’m a piano teacher with an Associate of Music in Piano Skills and over 9 years of experience. I help students develop skills for worship leading, theater accompaniment, and live band performance. Lessons are tailored to individual musical goals.
I teach chord patterns, accompaniment techniques, sight-reading, and improvisation. Students gain the tools to support singers and ensembles confidently and musically. Each lesson focuses on practical, performance-ready skills.
My approach is hands-on, flexible, and motivating. Students build both technical ability and expressive musicality. Together, we prepare for confident, professional-level playing.

I teach piano with an emphasis on improvisation, creativity, and stylistic exploration. Students learn jazz, blues, and pop improvisation, melodic development, and comping. We focus on spontaneous musical ideas and personal expression.
Lessons include exercises to strengthen harmonic understanding, rhythm, and phrasing. I guide students with consistent feedback to help them discover their own style and voice. Improvisation is made fun and achievable.
Lessons are interactive and performance-focused. Students gain the confidence to create music on the spot and accompany others fluidly. Together, we cultivate expressive, creative, and versatile pianists.
