About Kathryn
I've been tutoring and proofreading with learners of English as an Additional Language for over 10 years, in class and one-to-one settings in Toronto, Calgary, London and Melbourne. I have beginner knowledge of French and Spanish.
For half of my life, I've helped people of varying ages, backgrounds and abilities to feel confident, to express themselves, and to achieve their goals in English. This could mean passing the IELTS, getting a dream job, completing an assignment, joining a social activity in a new country, or anything that is important to you!

I’m a grammar nerd, an avid form-filler, and a curious and empathetic ‘helper’. Having experienced migration as a native English speaker, I have successfully completed plenty of applications, worked numerous jobs, and researched answers to many questions.
I offer tuition or proofreading to help you:
o obtain your ideal scores on the IELTS test
o write essays and/or theses, including BA and MA level
o craft applications for work or study, including grants and scholarships
o practice speaking (e.g. daily tasks, speeches, presentations), reading, listening and/or writing more generally
o develop content for your personal or professional website, blog, social media
o finalise publications (e.g. reports, stories)
o reword documents to make them more accessible, including Easy English
