About Chern
I am currently working as a Structural Engineer based in Auckland. I graduated from University of Auckland in 2014 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Structural Engineering in 2018.
I have always had a passion for Maths, especially Algebra. I enjoy helping students understand complex problems by simplifying them and using examples to explain different concepts.

During my time in University, I worked as a tutor in the MATES programme and gave 1 on 1 tutoring to selected high school students (NCEA Level 3) in Auckland. If you have a homework or particular topic that you are struggling with, I can go through the approach step-by-step to solve them.
I enjoy explaining math problems by breaking them down into simpler terms so they are easily understood. I like to use examples to explain concepts and if the explanation does not work the first time, I will try to use different approaches to explain the same concept in another way.
