About Brian
I’m a professional pilot who loves to instruct. When I’m outside the cockpit, I’m exploring and engaging the world to advance my understanding of the world and share my experiences. I have a PhD in Political and International Affairs from UC San Diego, an MBA from the University of Nebraska, and a BS in Civil Engineering from the US Air Force Academy. I’m also a Fulbright Scholar and am proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese.

I love to learn and to make learning fun! I’m experienced in teaching a range wide range of subjects to various age groups. I’ve taught at UC San Diego, the US Air Force Academy, and assisted in High School and Elementary School classrooms. I’m also a professional pilot instructor and am skilled at breaking down complex topics to a level that is understandable to the learner. I’m also a father of 4 children and have countless hours of teaching and reviewing school work in the home. Hope to come along on your learning adventure!
