About Imogen
I'm a voice and breath coach from London and a VASTA member (Voice and Speech Trainers Association).
While my work is delivered in training programs and spaces for actors (Central's Advanced Theatre Practice MA, Stella Adler Conservatoire New York, Trinity Laban, The Park Theatre, LSC to name a few)
I love to work one on one with private clients and am taking clients at the moment.

I'm a recent graduate of Central's MA in Voice where I graduated with honours researching the use of voice and breath for chronically ill humans. Having navigated my own chronic illness for many years, I have found such huge benefits to my health byusing somatic and neuro-vocal techniques to calm the nervous system.
Aside from my voice training at Central, I'm a trained singer. I studied to be an actor in New York working with industry professionals such as Alithea Phillips, Dayle Towarnicky and Andrew Wade. In 2014 I had the honour of studying Shakespeare with Kristin Linklater in Orkney.
My knowledge of voice, breath and communication is broad and my approach as a teacher is encouraging and honest.
Inclusivity is at the heart of my practice. Please don't worry about not being able to do or keep up, believe me, we can make this accessible.

Hello, I'm Imogen, a Teaching Artist from London. I have 7 years experience teaching actors in drama schools and beyond in the US and the UK.
MY WORK:
A lifelong love of voice and acting has taken me from London to Orkney to New York.
EDUCATION:
Starting my studies at Central as an actor, I fell in love with voice and have been lucky enough to study voice with practitioners such as Kristin Linklater, Alithea Phillips, Jane Boston, Annie Morrison, Barbara Houseman, Andrew Wade, Frankie Armstrong and many more.
I hold a masters degree (with honours) from Central specialising in voice and chronic illness and am a member of VASTA (Voice and Speech Trainers Association).
I teach at drama schools including Central School of Speech and Drama [BA and MA], Trinity Laban [BA musical theatre] and Stella Adler in New York [Conservatoire & NYU]. My students preparing for auditions have won places at RADA, LAMDA and Central. I work with the Park Theatre in London co-leading the Youth Company Act and Play and hold relationships with the industry in London and New York as a performer.
When I'm not working with acting students, I work with other professional actors preparing accents and dialects for roles on stage and screen. (Previous work includes: Vikings [TV], New Old Friends [Stage] touring production)
Over many years of training, I have developed a humanist method which combines body, breath, voice and text. I am highly knowledge about speech fundamentals, shaping sounds, accent, breaking down text and refining performance.
