About Océane

After having started in junior middle school with a training in visual arts, and in high school, with a course in Applied Arts, I landed in bachelor's degree in human sciences ... Today, I have recently graduated from a research master's degree in history from the Mediterranean during the Middle Ages (with honors in memory, please). I am also a teacher in a high school, where I have been teaching all grades from junior high to middle school for over a year. I am passionate about the humanities, pop culture and art. In parallel with my studies, I accompanied high school and undergraduate students in learning their respective programs. The results were encouraging for all: everyone felt an improvement in the understanding and appropriation of their lessons.

About the lesson

After being a student facing difficulties in understanding and organization, I ended up with it by overcoming various blockages. Today I am happy to be able to share my experiences with young high school students. Like my own students and many others, I struggled to understand my history-geography lessons: where to start? What to start with ? Do I have to learn everything ? So I start by identifying the student's confidence problems: what are the weaknesses he thinks he has ? Then, I observe the work in class and at home, the evaluations and corrections, remarks from the teachers. This allows me to identify the concrete difficulties and gaps. Finally, the student and I work together according to the work methodology that corresponds to him. That is to say, we follow the program, strengthening the weak points of the student. I bring a notable importance to spelling and syntax, the hierarchy of ideas and general culture. I really enjoy working with children and young adolescents, in order to awakening their curiosity about the world and opening up their prospects for the future. If necessary, I accompany the sessions by putting in perspective with current events and professions relating to the lessons of the pupil (I take advantage of the history and geography lessons to discuss the possible professions for the pupils).
