About Sandrine
My fascination with programming started with curiosity about how software could transform ideas into functioning systems, inspiring me to earn a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Development. Over 7 years of teaching, I have guided students from basic coding to advanced algorithmic thinking, emphasising practical exercises, clear explanations, and stepwise support to build confidence and competence.
I focus on a patient, structured teaching style, using live coding examples, stepwise problem-solving, and relatable analogies to ensure learners understand both the logic and practical application of programming concepts. Students are encouraged to experiment, ask questions, and develop independence, fostering creativity and confidence in coding.
Outside teaching, I continue learning emerging programming languages, frameworks, and tools to make lessons relevant and inspiring. Watching students progress from uncertainty to skilful coding, gaining confidence and curiosity about technology, brings me great satisfaction. My goal is to instil problem-solving skills, confidence, and a lasting interest in programming that empowers students for academic and professional growth.

I emphasise step-by-step reasoning, practical coding exercises, and project-based learning, allowing students to develop strong technical skills while building problem-solving confidence. Each class provides time for practice, guidance, and reflection to ensure concepts are internalised and applied creatively.
I customise sessions based on each learner’s experience. Beginners focus on syntax, control structures, and simple programmes. Intermediate learners explore modular code, debugging techniques, and project creation. Advanced learners tackle complex algorithms, optimisation, and preparation for coding competitions or exams. Lessons are paced to balance conceptual understanding with practical skill-building, encouraging independent thinking and curiosity while reinforcing coding logic and confidence.
Programming develops analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving, and persistence. Students gain confidence as they design, debug, and refine programmes, learning to approach problems methodically and creatively. My goal is to nurture both technical ability and independent problem-solving, helping learners develop a deep understanding of programming concepts that extends beyond the classroom.
