About Albert

I have coached provincial level rugby. I have also been involved as a performance analyst with super rugby teams, international teams, Currie Cup teams and club level teams. I am very analytical and I'm always looking for "what's next" in rugby; this includes modern trends, new developments in bio-kinetics and human performance (sports psychology) as well as cross-code integration.

About the lesson

I focus on improving the microskills and increasing performance through an analytical approach.

What are microskills:
It is to break down a skill into smaller parts and components e.g. passing skill = wrist snap, elbow extension, hip movement, follow through, etc.

What is conditioning:
Conditioning, for us, consist of five different categories:
1. Fitness
2. Strength
3. Flexibility
4. Visual
5. Acceleration/speed

Expert positional analysis and development as well.

I have known Albert for a little over 6 years and in all these years I have absorbed a lot of knowledge and wisdom from him.
He is a very knowledgeable person and very open-minded in his approach to everything. I have been coached by many rugby coaches, but I can say that being coached by him has been the best experience I have had as a player. He is very progressive and creative in his methods. I have no doubt that he will have the same effect with anyone who works with.
