About Chenoa
After obtaining my Bachelor of Arts degree, I aim to move onward into the working world. My persistent nature makes me suitable to deal with individuals of all ages.
I have been presented with many situations that required skills of adaptability and problem solving. For example, at 5 my family moved to the United States of America then moved back to South Africa when I was 15. This presented me with various challenges but ultimately lead me to successfully acquire part time job positions and the completion of my degree. I have successfully completed my degree magna cum laude and majored in Psychology and English through the year 2020. If completing a degree through the year 2020 does not show persistence I do not know what will.
Being an English consultant for ABC Tutors provided me with formidable communication skills despite the language barrier between my students and myself. This helped me in my occasional tutoring jobs as it allowed me to creatively assist my students, both old and young, in successfully navigating their preferred subject. I also provide a world view on topics that have proven to captivate my students and assists in their comprehension of subject matter. What I lack in job experience I make up for in willingness to learn and grow with a company.
Steve Jobs stated that “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” This is a statement I firmly carry.

The main aim is to see what works best for the person being tutored and tailor my teaching methodology to each specific person. For example certain students may prefer more interactive and visual stimulation while other students prefer to sit down and get through course work. Which ever suits the student is the method I will bring to the table.
