About Mariam
I bring a strong academic foundation and a thoughtful, student-focused approach to every lesson. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with First-Class Honors and went on to earn my MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London. My training has equipped me with both a deep understanding of psychological theory and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Alongside my academic background, I have experience supporting individuals through stress and academic pressure, which allows me to approach tutoring with patience, structure, and professionalism. I understand that every student learns differently, and I take the time to adapt my teaching to suit their pace, strengths, and goals.
I am reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining a high standard in every session. Lessons are designed to make steady, measurable progress. I also place importance on creating a comfortable and respectful learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and engaging with the material.

My tutoring approach is centered around deep understanding, and student confidence. Psychology is often taught in a way that encourages memorization, but I focus on helping students think critically, connect concepts, and apply their knowledge effectively in exams. This not only improves grades but also builds long-term academic confidence.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual student. I assess their current level, identify gaps, and create a structured plan to help them progress efficiently. My sessions typically combine clear concept breakdowns as well as focused past paper practice. A strong emphasis is placed on exam technique, depending on the program, how to structure answers, and analyze questions.
Given my background in mental health, I also support students in managing academic stress and maintaining focus, which is often a key factor in performance but overlooked in traditional tutoring.
Lessons are usually 45 minutes, designed to be focused and productive, with optional guidance provided for independent study between sessions.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Middlesex University in Psychology with Counseling, with First-Class Honors and a Master’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London. Alongside my academic background, I have experience in research, mental health support, and working closely with individuals facing stress and anxiety through online therapy, which informs my holistic approach to teaching.
My lessons are designed for GCSE, A-Level, and IB Psychology students, as well as students seeking structured academic support and effective study strategies.
