About Caitlin
I have an MA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh (2:1) and several years of professional experience working in mental health and community support settings in the UK and Canada, including the National Health Service (UK) and non-profits in Canada.
My work has involved supporting people with a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental needs, helping to explain psychological concepts in a clear and practical way, and contributing to structured support plans in clinical and community contexts.
I am offering informal academic support for psychology students and individuals who may benefit from clearer structure, guidance, or help breaking down complex material into more understandable parts.

My lessons are informal, structured, and adapted to each student’s needs. I focus on helping students understand psychology content in a clear and manageable way, rather than relying on memorization or pressure-based learning.
Sessions are flexible and can be adjusted depending on what you need support with — for example understanding course material, planning essays, improving academic writing, or building study structure and confidence.
I aim to create a calm, low-pressure learning environment, which may be particularly helpful for students who find traditional academic settings overwhelming or difficult to navigate. I am happy to adapt my approach for neurodivergent learners, including those who benefit from clearer structure, pacing, or breaking tasks into smaller steps.
As I am new to private tutoring, I keep sessions simple and collaborative, and I welcome feedback so I can make the support as useful as possible for each student.
