About Faduma
I am a maths teacher who is passionate about education and seeing others reach their full potential. Whether it is by mentoring, coaching or teaching.
I went into teaching as a profession to support students who are disadvantaged. Having only come to England myself at the age of 14, I know what it is like to fall behind and not get the right support when it’s most needed. It gives me joy to see young people feel more confident in maths and have the tools to apply it to other subjects and real life

As an educational psychology graduate, I have a firm understanding of the different ways we learn and the importance of motivation.
I strongly believe that everyone with the right foundation and support is capable of getting the top grade.
Building a good relationship with students is key in teaching. My students are always comfortable to ask me questions and let me know if they did not understand an example or would like more practice.
I believe in encouraging students to become independent learners and thinkers. As maths is about problem solving, I encourage my students to try and solve problems on their own before asking for the solution.
Having taught for four years, I am very familiar with the GCSE maths curriculum and common misconceptions students have. I also have experience of teaching students with many different backgrounds and who are EAL. Whether you are looking for more challenging work or extra support to get you back on track, I would love to help.
