About Shikani
I am a 3rd year Psychology student and have been casually tutoring for the past two years. During this time I have helped 5 students achieve Merit and Excellence results for their English and History classes throughout all NCEA levels.

Being in my 3rd year of university I want to find ways to make the transition from high school to tertiary education easier. I believe that a way to do this is making sure someone has their university entrance. When tutoring I initially want to see an individual's current English and History results. It's also important to ask what a person believes they are struggling with. I then tailor lessons around their personal needs, whether that be just helping them with current school work or setting weekly tasks/assignments to keep track of their progress. I also work closely with parents who may not have a full understanding of NCEA and help them with ways they are able to support their child with their studies. My goal is to always align the students best interests with their studying requirements.
