About Romita
Hello to all the beautiful souls ... I am Romita, a young adult doing her Bachelor's degree in psychology. I will be narrating you a tale of how yoga found me before I knew what yoga was. One day my aunt met an accident. After getting released from the hospital she shortly joined yoga classes. She made yoga her discipline. I was 6 or 7 years old when my aunt started taking me to her classes. Then I became a member of the yoga school. I was involved in yoga thereafter. My aunt was the one who taught me how important breathing is for yoga and that along with graceful movements was my key to win prizes in competitions. At present as a psychology student, I understand how yoga and mental health are interlinked. So, I just want to help my students make yoga a discipline for both mental and physical well-being. I won't make you do headstands but I will try my best to make sure you can take a stand against your head when needed to live a healthy life.

Yoga has various forms and types. In my classes, our focus will be - to go through basic yoga postures and understand its benefits. - I intend to keep my classes interactive, where you are free to discuss not only yoga but also things that are being a barrier to your mental peace. - My emphasis will be on the regulation of breathing in yoga. When I used to attend yoga classes, I noticed most people neglected the breathing part which happens to be the core of yoga. In our fast pace of life we often forget the small acts that keep us alive. - My idea is to make yoga a discipline in people's lives. The yoga will revolve around simple yet effective postures rather than hard complex ones because I want yoga to be for all. - Yoga is for all so are my classes.

Perfect! Ms. Romita Das is such a good soul and a down-to-earth person. She is not only skilled in yoga asanas but also teaches the importance behind practicing them. I love the way she takes time to teach and correct postures when necessary. Apart from being a teacher, she is a good friend—and I’m happy to say, my sister too :)
