About Alexandria
I am a 19 year old psychology student interested in the field of psychological research. Throughout middle and high school, English courses were always my favorite as they allow for the most freedom and creativity in my opinion. I believe that anyone can succeed in academic writing if they are given the right tools and have an understanding of why they are writing.

Throughout high school, I excelled in AICE (college level) English courses including AICE general paper, AICE English language, and two years of AICE English literature. In these courses as well as my university English courses, I have learned numerous skills that are important to writing including maintaining a professional and academic tone, differentiating between essay styles (persuasive, exploratory, informative), formatting papers in MLA or APA format, understanding the rhetorical situation of writing and properly implementing research and citations into writing.
Depending on where you are struggling and what area you need help with, I can build a competency test to understand your situation, formulate a powerpoint or Quizlet (depending on your preferences) compiled of the information you need to study. I can provide you with writing exercises and activities that will give you a better understanding of how to succeed in Academic writing.
I am a second year in college, so my tutoring is directed towards middle and high-school students, and especially to students enrolled in the Cambridge program as I was a part of the program myself, or in other college-level English courses equivalent to AICE (such as AP).
