About Amy
I am currently a 2nd year Psychology student and in the future I hope to work in schools and with children. I always find it extremely rewarding to help others and have the privilege to see them improve over time. I am confident in my abilities to teach others, build their confidence and in the end be able to see an improvement overall. My experience in the boosted reading programme further sparked my interest in working with children and helping others to improve whilst also helping me to see how great it can be to work closely with one individual who is struggling rather than a group at a time. Creating more personalised ways to help people improve is something really important to me and something I think creates a big difference in learning.

I have experience in working with children ages 11-15 through the boosted reading programme, helping kids to improve their English and reading. My teaching methodologies are created through worksheets that I will make personalised to the tutee and their needs on what they need to improve and what they feel they are struggling with. The worksheets will be able to be carried out alone or with parents etc and I will be able to give direct feedback on how to improve based on these completed tasks. Lesson lengths may vary depending on the topic but can always be altered to be longer or shorter based on the needs and requests of the client.
