About Gail
One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching ELA is the chance to ignite a love for reading and writing. I’ve always believed that literature opens doors for students to develop empathy and think critically. By exploring various genres, from classic novels to contemporary poetry, I strive to foster an environment where students can connect with different cultures, historical contexts, and emotional experiences. My approach often includes interactive activities like group discussions, creative writing exercises, and literary analysis, which help students engage with texts on a deeper level.

Teaching English Language Arts (ELA) has been a deeply rewarding experience for me, blending my passion for storytelling with my dedication to fostering effective communication skills in students. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students that range from children with learning disabilities to advanced middle school students who each bring their own unique perspectives and challenges to the classroom.
Ultimately, my goal as an ELA teacher is to inspire students to become thoughtful, articulate individuals who appreciate the power of language. Seeing students develop their skills and gain confidence in their abilities is immensely gratifying and reinforces my commitment to the field of education.
