About Laney
Hi, my name is Laney. I am a 2-time published author (with a 3rd in the works). I value the importance of being a skilled writer and comprehensive reader, but I also understand the struggles that come with building those skills. I want to help motivate students to invest in their own literacy. I was published twice by Scottsdale Community College. Once for a poem and once for a short fiction story. I am currently in the final revision steps on my debut novel, which releases next year. And I have experience writing in all areas from creative to professional. I am also an educator, and work hard to make sure my students are critical readers, and are able to understand and comprehend complex works. I have experience working with a wide range of students, from advanced writers looking to make a career as an author, to students with learning disabilities and dyslexia. Reading and writing is for everyone, you just need to find the right way to make it work for you.

I am flexible to help with what the students need. Whether it's specific help in proofreading, editing, or revising- or more comprehensive like building skills in critical reading or comprehension. I can also help build skills in spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and handwriting.
