Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are specifically designed for GCSE, A-Level, and Undergraduate University students who want to master complex biological concepts, boost their exam performance, or navigate higher education science modules. Whether you are aiming for an A* or working to turn a failing grade around, I adapt my pacing to your specific academic goals.
My Techniques & Teaching Methodology
I aim to keep my lessons engaging by not following a rigid, lecture-style format. We focus on understanding core scientific concepts that are directly applicable to exam questions, understanding what is required by the mark scheme.
Typical Lesson Length
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, which is the optimal window for focused, high-impact learning without reaching burnout. However, 90-minute sessions are available for advanced university-level mentoring or intensive exam-season preparation.
My Qualifications & Experience
I am a published microbiologist and former Postdoctoral Research Fellow with a BSc, an MSc with Distinction, and a PhD in Biological Sciences. Beyond my academic credentials, I have years of practical experience mentoring and training junior colleagues and university students, translating high-level research concepts into clear, digestible, and actionable lessons.
