About Samantha
I am a published and prize-winning author of short stories and longer fiction, most recently a young-adult Gothic novel called The Haunting of Lindy Pennyworth ((concealed information)
I have also written for diverse clients such as OUP, Scholastic, Oxfam and the National Literacy Trust.
I graduated from Magdalen College Oxford with a BA (2.1) in Spanish Literature and followed this with a First Class Hons BA in Literature from the Open University and an MA (Merit) in Children's Literature from the University of Roehampton.
I have spent the last eighteen years working as a freelance writer and editor, as well as a teacher (from primary school through to and including adults) and a primary school librarian and storyteller. I teach a range of subjects, from English language and literature to creative writing and Spanish!

My teaching approach is holistic - I base my lessons on the individual needs of my students and enjoy finding the best way of communicating and teaching to get the best outcome! I believe that enjoyment is key to successful learning and work very hard to make my lessons interesting and diverse in approach.
