About Jayne
Having taught students K-12 for the past 30 years in Durham District School Board, I am experienced at connecting with and working with students. I also offer classes for teachers on pedagogy and instructional practices in ESL and FSL.

Initially, it is important to build a rapport with the student so that they are comfortable with me. I work from a strengths model, building upon what they already know. It will be important to connect with their classroom teacher to better understand their areas of need; this will enable me to prepare lessons with a narrow focus.
