About Michelle

I have been a teacher for 28 years. I have taught in Australia and as an Australian volunteer, with Australian Volunteers International in Africa. I have taught in both primary and secondary schools. I have a Bachelor of Education Degree p-12 with honours. My Majors at University were English Literature and Australian History. I am enthusiastic and will work hard to get you to where you need to go. I have successfully tutored students that are EAL English As A Second Language, students with intellectual disabilities, students who are at level but would like to excel and reach an above level standard and maintain it and university students who need mentoring and editing input into their assignments.

About the lesson

To learn we need to actively elaborate on (extend our thinking) and connect what we are learning with what we already know. So it is key for me as facilitator of learning to draw out where you are at and then to extend that to where you are required to be. During a one hour tutoring session I will ascertain where we need to start and then immerse you in learning experiences that will build your knowledge into a deeper realm. This can work for primary and secondary students, EAL and university students. I have recently tutored a mature age university student, with great success. I was able to assist her with her major assignments to complete her year. My qualification is a Bachelor of Education degree Prep to Year 12 with honours. I would be suited to tutor from Prep to year 12, EAL and university students.
