David has been a teacher for 15 years. I know him as a colleague at school. He is very dedicated and extremely passionate about teaching. First, David has excellent differentiation skills as he can quickly identify a student's strengths and weaknesses through assessment for learning strategies. David has high expectations and always makes sure that students are stretched to the best of their abilities. Also, he would always go the extra mile for a student who needs extra help. Second, David uses excellent scaffolding strategies to break learning up into chunks. This helps children understand the sometimes complex content of the chemistry/science curriculum in an easy and logical way. David has excellent IT skills, which coupled with his creative side, allow him to implement his scaffolding strategies and make lesson content interesting. Third, David has excellent interactive teaching skills to involve students in the learning process. For example, he often uses hands-on demonstrations in his lessons. This makes lessons lively and further motivates students, as they are constantly encouraged to be active participants.
David has the rare ability to motivate students thanks to his ability to develop a good rapport with them, his passion for the subject and his sense of humour. He is patient, caring as well as approachable, and students trust him as they know that he can lead them to academic success. That is why David has been one of the most popular teachers at his school. David has been graded as Outstanding by Ofsted on several occasions, which proves his exceptional pedagogical skills.View more recommendations
