About Rimah
I’m a qualified Computer Science teacher with experience across mainstream schools, alternative provision, SEND and one-to-one tuition. I’ve worked with students of different ages, abilities and levels of confidence, and one of the things I enjoy most about teaching is finding the approach that makes a topic finally click for an individual student.
I became a teacher/tutor because I genuinely enjoy working with young people and sharing a subject that I love. Computer Science can sometimes feel intimidating, particularly when students are struggling with programming or some of the more abstract theory, but I love taking something that initially seems complicated and making it clear, practical and achievable.
I’m enthusiastic, approachable and patient, and building a good rapport with my students is very important to me. I want students to feel that lessons are a space where they can ask questions, make mistakes and develop their confidence without feeling judged.
I also really enjoy creating teaching resources and finding new ways of explaining concepts. Seeing a student go from “I can’t do this” to being able to solve a problem independently is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.
Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for GCSEs, improving their programming skills or simply becoming more confident in Computing, I want them to leave my lessons feeling that the subject makes more sense than it did when they arrived.

My lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to the individual student. As a qualified Computer Science teacher, I know that students learn in very different ways, so I adapt my explanations, resources and pace depending on the learner rather than using the same lesson for everyone.
I particularly enjoy breaking down topics that students initially find difficult and making them feel much more manageable. Lessons can include clear explanations, worked examples, practical programming, exam-style questions, quizzes and interactive activities. I also have a large bank of teaching resources and can create additional resources around a student’s individual needs.
For GCSE students, I can support both theory and programming, as well as exam technique and identifying gaps in knowledge. For KS3 students, I aim to make Computing engaging and accessible while building strong foundations for GCSE.
I have experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities and needs, including one-to-one tuition, classroom teaching, SEND and alternative provision. I am patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions or saying when something doesn’t make sense.
My aim is not simply to help students complete a piece of work, but to help them genuinely understand the subject, become more confident and eventually tackle problems independently.
