About Helen
I have been teaching children for over 15 years. In that time, my specialism has evolved and strengthened from physical education, to maths and English. I am now a SENCo at a local school, where I help children in all aspects of their schooling, from their learning to their well-being.
I have a wealth of experience tutoring children from ages 5 - 14 years. I have tutored children in English, Maths, 11+, Common Entrance Exams, and children with Special Educational Needs with great success.
In my lessons, I believe that every child is unique and I work with them to increase their self-esteem and fulfil their potential. It is well-proven that high self-esteem correlates to high levels of learningn. I aim to make my lessons as dynamic and engaging as possible, tailoring them to suit the needs of the individual.
