About Alicia

Hi, I’m Alicia! I’m a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with a genuine passion for helping children develop confidence and a love of learning.

I recently completed my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Birth–8 Years) and currently work as a relief teacher. Throughout my studies, I also worked as a School Services Officer (SSO) and OSHC educator, giving me valuable experience supporting children across a range of ages, abilities and learning needs.

I understand that every child learns differently, particularly when developing important skills such as reading, phonics and writing. I pride myself on being patient, encouraging and approachable, and on building positive relationships that help children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their progress.

My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where each child can strengthen their skills, build confidence and feel proud of what they can achieve.

My tutoring approach is warm, patient and tailored to each child’s individual learning needs. I use explicit teaching, modeling, guided practice and engaging activities to develop skills in reading, phonics, spelling, writing and overall literacy. I focus on building strong foundations while helping children feel confident and positive about their learning.

Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes and are adapted to suit each child’s age, ability, learning style and current classroom learning.

I am a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Birth–8 Years) and currently work as a relief teacher. I also have previous experience as an SSO, OSHC educator and one-on-one tutor, supporting children with a range of learning needs and abilities.

My lessons are suitable for children aged kindergarten to year 6, from early learners developing foundational phonics and reading skills through to primary-aged students wanting additional support or extension in reading, writing, spelling and literacy.
