My tutoring style is tailored, student-centred, and focused on building both subject knowledge and confidence. I begin by identifying each student’s learning style and areas for improvement through an initial discussion and diagnostic questions. From there, I develop structured lessons that break down complex topics into manageable, engaging segments using active recall, spaced repetition, and visual aids to reinforce understanding. Each lesson typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and focus. I prioritise clear explanations, interactive questioning, and regular feedback to ensure that progress is consistent. I also provide exam-focused support including past paper practice, mark scheme analysis, and time management strategies. I am a qualified EFL teacher and a medical student at the University of Leeds, with experience tutoring A-level Biology and Chemistry. I’ve worked with students aged 17–18, though I am happy to adapt my sessions for younger learners or adult students seeking support in English language skills or science subjects. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to achieve their full potential.
