About Thomas

I am a newly qualified teacher in Post-16 education with experience teaching Media and English to 16-18 year old learners.
I completed my teaching placement at Big Creative Education and taught both BTEC Media and GCSE English. I had a wide variety of different teaching experiences and led on a range of units including Media audience responses, InDesign and Photoshop editing & the Creative Media sector and also all units relevant to the new 9-1 specification for GCSE English (particularly Edexcel and WJEC). I have a calm and attentive style of teaching and have proven success in taking students through these qualifications as well as dealing with challenging behaviour and supporting students with SEN one-to-one.
I have also served as a facilitator for the Leyton Epicentre's Creative Writing group which ended in a publication from all of the members, including one from myself, in a small chapbook.
