About Amanda
I am Amanda, I love learning and have studied all my life to change careers or just for fun. I moved from the UK a couple of years ago and now live in Bulgaria and alongside working as a teacher I work on our smallholding. Helping with renovations on the house and outbuildings and gardening keep me busy in my spare time, whilst learning new skills. I am a mum of 2 grown-up boys. I was a single parent for many years juggling home and work life whilst studying so I could better myself in my career. Knowing the challenges that adults face when trying to study, run a home, manage a family whilst holding down a job enables me to build rapport very quickly with my students.

I am able to draw on my experience as an Operational Manager in the Hospitality Industry Sector and 20 years working as a Human Resources Manager across many industries. I have a very flexible approach to teaching. I have experience teaching teenagers and young adults, beginners and advanced (B1 and 2, Intermediate and C1) also Business English. My experiences enable me to provide homework support, exam preparation and speaking/listening/conversational English classes. Be reassured that it is OK making mistakes when learning with me, as you will be in a safe and confidential environment with me.
