About Philip
I taught students aged 4 to 18 over a five year period in classes ranging from 9 to 50 in number of pupils. Many of my students showed great enthusiasm for my company, and often requested private lessons after school. I teach my classes according to ability and needs. A class with limited ability needs to learn by having some fun, such as singing or playing word games, whereas a class of bright students needs to be testing themselves with written and oral exercises and tests.

I approach each topic by asking my students to tell me what they understand about the subject.
When I am happy that I understand how much the student understands, I will begin my tutoring of the topic, constantly stopping to check that the student is totally happy with their own understanding of our progress within the lesson.
