About Maria
I am a qualified English teacher who has been teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have been tutoring since winter 2017 and I really enjoy taking my practice beyond the classroom. I am here to support students at any level, whether they are struggling with English or this is a subject they love and want to challenge themselves and work at a higher level.

My teaching method depends on the student. I like to ask questions and see what my students know about the topic before introducing any new knowledge. Based on my assessment I can determine what my tutees’ strong points are, as well as what they need more assistance with. I like to end my lessons with a few knowledge consolidation exercises and set homework that takes this consolidation a step further.
