About Aaron
I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who has worked in several countries teaching English as a foreign language. Although I am qualified and certified to teach English, some of my greatest strengths as a teacher come from my experiences working in multicultural and multilingual environments. I enjoy traveling, learning languages, integrating into other cultures, and many outdoor activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and canoeing.

As a teacher my goal is to make the students engaged and interested in a topic so that they will be eager to learn and to use the language they need to discuss, read, or write about it.
Research has shown that one of the most important elements to language learning is receiving large amounts of comprehensible input. If a student is interested in a topic, this is not a challenge. It is fun and interesting. Likewise, a student who is interested in a topic will much more easily learn the English they need to talk about it.
This method can be adapted to any level. A typical lesson will begin with a short review or warm-up, the introduction to a topic, some form of input about the topic, followed by a discussion or writing activity. This makes the classes fun, engaging, and effective for students of all levels.
