About Jennifer
I have been an English teacher in secondary schools for 15 years. I have vast experience in coaching pupils through AQA, Edexcel, WJEC and OCR exams. I also teach A Level English Language & Literature and have an excellent success rate for pupils at this level.
I am currently an Examiner for the AQA exam board, and have worked for the past 5 years as an Examiner for WJEC, all within English Language & Literature at GCSE level.
I have been giving private lessons for 4 years now, with excellent success rates for primary entrance exams, KS3 rapid progress, GCSE and A Level.

My strengths lie in my personable, engaging teaching style and my ability to differentiate successfully for all levels of student, whether beginner or experienced.
I tailor all of my teaching materials for every student, allowing for exceptional progress in a limited period of time. I have worked remotely with a number of students and found that excellent learning can take place online. I offer the same level of personal feedback as face-to-face tutoring, and have even found that students sometimes feel more confident to make brave choices in their writing when working on a screen with me.
I offer consistent, detailed, specific guidance for students regarding the curriculum and work with both parents and students to ensure rapid and sustained progress. I am a GCSE examiner, meaning I have a wealth of experience to draw on.
I am an expert in the school curriculum and can guide any student through their English qualifications.
