About Anna
I am passionate about teaching English, and my aim is to provide private classes which are designed to suit the needs and wants of the individual student.
I have over 8 years of experience teaching young learners, teens, and adults of all levels (in Spain and Germany), and I have specialised in exam preparation (IELTS, Cambridge) and academic writing skills. I also have experience training teachers of English and teaching in-company classes to professionals.
I'm Irish, but I speak Spanish, Catalan, and French, so I am always ready to help if you have any of those tricky vocabulary questions!

I am a fully-qualified ESL teacher, and I have been teaching English for over 8 years in prestigious language schools and academies in Spain and Germany. I absolutely love what I do, and it is my aim to make sure learning English is rewarding and fun.
I primarily follow a communicative approach to language teaching, however, I do believe that the best methods will always depend on the student and their needs. As a language learner myself, I think that motivation to learn comes from inspiring lessons which ensure that the student leaves each class with the feeling that they have accomplished something new.
I like to combine real, communicative practice with materials from the world around us. I often use clips from documentaries, tv series or Ted talks, and interesting articles to accompany the language point we are studying.
The first class with a student will involve a thorough needs analysis and discussion of options in terms of objectives and materials.
