About Robert
I am a patient, friendly and dedicated tutor who believes that students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported and confident with their teacher. Building a positive rapport with my students is very important to me, and I always aim to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where they feel able to ask questions and develop their skills at their own pace.
I work with students of different ages and abilities, taking the time to understand their individual needs, learning style and personal goals. Each lesson is tailored to the student, ensuring that the approach and pace are adapted to help them progress effectively and gain confidence in their work.
I also have strong experience in preparing students for external examinations. I focus on the key techniques, exam strategies and question analysis required by the different exam boards, helping students improve their results and approach exams with greater confidence.

I believe that effective learning happens when students of all ages and abilities feel comfortable, supported, and confident with their teacher. For this reason, I make it a priority to establish a positive rapport with my students as quickly as possible. I take time to understand their individual needs, learning styles, and goals, and we discuss clear personal targets to help guide their progress.
When preparing students for external examinations, I have developed strong expertise in helping them improve their grades by focusing on the specific exam techniques and strategies required by different exam boards. I ensure that students become familiar with the structure of the questions, common pitfalls, and the most effective ways to maximise marks.
Every student is treated as an individual, and I adapt my teaching approach to suit their abilities, pace, and preferred way of learning. My lessons are structured, engaging, and supportive, helping students build both their knowledge and their confidence. After each lesson, I can provide a short summary of what has been covered, along with clear next steps to support continued progress between sessions. I am patient, approachable, and flexible, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to achieve their full potential.
