Laina has tutored my son and more recently my daughter for her geography GCSE.
I consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found her and indeed I 'reserved her' for my daughter 6 months before tutoring started to ensure she was available. She really is a brilliant tutor; she really knows her way around the geography course and exam technique, she is motivating, able to breakdown questions in a way that allowed my daughter to fully understand the breath of the question and as importantly my daughter enjoyed the lessons with her. Laina tutored my daughter throughout her A level Geography and I can’t recommend her more highly. Laina tutored my daughter for about 3 months before her A Level after the Geography department at her school left her feeling unprepared. Laina's guidance helped her achieve an A at A Level which was vital as that is what she wanted to study at university. Having got the required grades she was able to secure her place and is starting at a Russell Group uni in September. I believe we were extremely fortunate to have found Laina to tutor our severely dyslexic son through a Geography AS retake and A2 exams. She was able to combine structure which he struggles with, with the content in a way he had not been able to grasp before, which was beneficial for his other A2 subjects too. Laina also went above and beyond to attend sessions to ensure our son was tutored just prior to exams, which was essential due to poor memory retention. I contacted Laina pretty late around March 2016 to tutor my son for his A Level Geography . In the 3 months she tutored him through the whole course advising him on revision skills as well as practice exam papers . She was completely reliable and available at short notice when my son had panic episodes just prior to his exams. He would not have achieved his grade to access university without Lainas tutoring skills , for which i have to thank Laina for . As a parent it is difficult when you are trying to find a good tutor and some of the time tutors are pot luck ! For any parent looking for a tutor in geography I could not recommend Laina highly enough who also travelled to our home which was over an hour away !

Laina tutored my daughter for A-Level Geography for 8 sessions between December and February. My daughter has benefited from the `kick-start` this has given her in identifying topics she needed extra support on, and also to plan her time for revision. She really enjoyed and took on board Laina`s advice on an approach to working that fit well with her other activities.
