About Shan
With over 20 years' experience in teaching a variety of subjects from ages 4-adult, I am passionate about helping learners to build their confidence, skills and knowledge to achieve their goals. I am approachable, friendly and flexible and aim to positively engage students, building motivation through enjoyment of their chosen subject. I currently work as a primary school teacher in EYFS, but have taught the full primary age range from 4-11, also tutoring pupils outside of school for 11+ exams, general maths and English and Spanish GCSE. I have also been on the Senior Leadership team and EYFS and KS1 phase leader for 2 years. Prior to this I worked for the British Council in Spain, teaching English to all age ranges from 6-adult, preparing students for the Cambridge Assessment exams such as PET, FCE and CAE. I am also a speaking and writing examiner for the Cambridge suite of exams. University : - University of Chester - BEd (HONS) [2:1] Other Qualifications : CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
