About Bianca Hikari
I am a Language Education graduate with experience teaching foreign languages to students of various ages and nationalities. As a Japanese Brazilian, I am a native speaker of both Japanese and Portuguese. I am deeply passionate about teaching languages, and it brings me great joy to watch my students gradually overcome their shyness and become confident in their ability to communicate in the language they’ve worked so hard to learn. I strive to create a safe and encouraging environment where my students feel comfortable and motivated to learn.

I believe in creating a comfortable and engaging learning environment where students feel motivated to improve. My teaching methodology focuses on conversational Japanese, aiming to help students reach a level where they can confidently interact and communicate in Japanese. For beginner students, I start by explaining the basics of Japanese grammar. Once the foundational grammar is understood, we transition to conversation practice, where I guide and correct students while teaching useful Japanese expressions. For intermediate and advanced students, we dive straight into conversation, reinforcing grammar concepts through real-life communication.
During online lessons, I use Google Docs to share documents and allow simultaneous written communication, enhancing the learning experience. I also provide students with a Google Spreadsheet that I’ve created, which explains basic grammar points and serves as a valuable reference to support their learning.
I tailor my lessons to each student’s level and needs, ensuring that they develop both their grammar and speaking skills in a practical, interactive way.
Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, with a focus on clear explanations and ample practice. I incorporate cultural aspects of Japan to enrich the language learning process, making it more interesting and relevant to real-world situations.
I have a degree in Language Education and experience tutoring students of different backgrounds and levels. I have taught beginner to advanced students, from teenagers to adults, helping them achieve both conversational skills and deeper language proficiency.
Whether you're just starting to learn Japanese or aiming to refine your skills, I adapt my lessons to suit the student's level and learning goals. My lessons are ideal for individuals who are passionate about learning Japanese, regardless of their age.
